Things I´ve learned...
Here I am. Living "the dream." Well, not exactly "the dream" per se, but "my dream" nonetheless. I´m living in Barcelona, Spain in an apartment with three other people for the summer. I have a BA from a prestigious University, but am reduced to distributing flyers to promote a Pub Crawl, Bike Tour, Flamenco show, Surf Trip and Spanish Cooking Class. I must really want this.
I´ve learned that if you will something hard enough it comes true.
I´ve learned that desperate times, really do call for desperate measures. But they don´t seem so desperate if it is something that makes you happy.
I´ve learned that although I never actually make a "budget," when necessary, I can be EXTREMELY frugal with my money. Like basic necessities, dier (?) needs, necessities. Basics; ham, cheese, apples, yogurt, milk, the basics.
I´ve learned that I cannot go too long without listening to Led Zeppelin.
I´ve learned that until I can decide to want the same thing for more than a year, I am not marriage material.
I´ve learned that I can stay up until 5 am, sleep until noon, and do it again two days later.
I´ve learned that www.freetranslation.com can be a lifesaver.
And that three years of high school espanol can still be remembered when necessary.

Although, personally, I don't "really" know you, I am very proud of your tenacity. What you're doing is no small feat.
I would have never had the courage to make your journey, so you should be commended. The personal growth you'll make during this time is worth more than you know.
Keep reaching for the dream and as I usually say; "If you're happy, I'm happy."
Kev
Doing all that requires a lot of determination and courage, you are an extraordinary person. Some people give up their dreams after much less effort. And even though your blog is not as regular as usually blogs are, I come back here to find inspiration and motivation here. Thank you.
